Often described as Scotland’s ‘most beautiful distillery’, the picturesque facility of Glengoyne is a popular tourist attraction in its own right. This whisky distillery has been continuously in operation since 1833, when it was founded just north of Glasgow. Located right on the Highland line – the term used to describe the division between the Highlands and the Lowlands of Scotland.
This also means it’s one of the only distilleries around which produces Highland single malts which are then matured in the Lowlands. Glengoyne products are marked with the Royal Warrant, after the facility supplies whiskies to the Queen Mother in 1984.
