Often referred to as “the gentle dram,” Tomintoul whisky is influenced by its natural surroundings on the Glenlivet estate, in the picturesque Speyside region. Many whiskies are produced in this area of Scotland, but none quite like Tomintoul. Built in 1964, the distillery uses traditional techniques and says the pure water from the Ballantruan Spring and fresh air add to the unique smoothness of the single malt. The distillery produces a number of whiskies, including a vintage single cask and a peaty tang.
The single malt whiskies have all won awards for its excellent taste and smoothness – so try the gentle dram next time you pour a scotch.
