On the idyllic island of Mull sits a very old distillery which was established in 1798. Not only is it the only distillery on the island, the Tobermory distillery is also one of the oldest in Scotland. The traditional whiskey making process is all by hand, with the help of two hundred years’ worth of single malt mastery. Tobermory whiskey is smooth and velvety, with a unique charm which is best enjoyed neat.
You can add ice or dilute to taste if preferred, but this will cloud the single malt. The distillery also produces another whiskey called Ledaig, which is more smoky and distinguished.
