Smokehead is another of those mysterious whiskies, where nobody can quite figure out where it was distilled. It’s certainly a single malt Islay whisky, which narrows it down. Educated guesses on the provenance of the whisky include Lagavulin and Ardbeg – but at this point, they are mere guesses. Smokehead is marketed at a younger audience, with a label that shuns the traditional whisky labelling for something more contemporary. This is one whisky that does everything it can to stand out from the crowd and generate interest.
