The Speyside region is renowned for its malt whiskies, and the Singleton distillery produces them by the barrel. Situated in an area known as the ‘Garden of Scotland’, Singleton (also known as Dufftown distillery) was founded in 1895 and has changed ownership numerous times since. It’s now owned by distillery giant Diageo. Singleton operates six stills and has an impressive capacity of 4,000,000 litres per year.
Famous bottlings include Singleton of Dufftown and Dufftown Aged 15 Years – plus, the single malt crafted here is used in various famous blended whiskies.
