The Midleton distillery is owned by Pernod Ricard these days, and is famed for being technologically advanced. The various different production areas around the facility are linked with fibre-optic networks, and the factory boasts the largest production capacity in Ireland. With three 75,000 litre pot stills and three columns which can produce different types of whisky, it’s little wonder that Midleton remains one of the most important distilleries in the country.
Capacity has doubled since 2010 thanks to large investment, and a new maturing facility has been added in a nearby village to ensure the facility can meet demand.
