Knob Creek, a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, is created at the famous Jim Beam distillery. Targeted mainly at the real liquor enthusiasts out there, it joins Booker’s, Baker’s and Basil Hayden’s in Beam Suntory’s range of high-end products. The bourbon has been highly sought-after in recent years – the forecast in 2000 was far too conservative, which led to a shortage of the drink. Beam Suntory capitalised on this, even running a campaign to publicise the shortage, which they believed made Knob Creek appear far more exclusive and coveted.
