A masterful whisky from Campbeltown distiller Glen Scotia, bottled without chill filtration and in its natural colour. Mostly aged in the finest oak casks prior to a year in Oloroso sherry casks, this one embodies the typical aromas of Campbeltown, including vanilla, oak and stewed fruits.

Rainy Day Whisky
This has all the character you'd expect from a Campbeltown, but 18 years has turned it into such an assured statement. It's all there in the nose, the wood, the dried fruit, the sea, but none of it is forced. On the palate, there is fruit, and spiciness, but I wouldn't go so far as to say honeyed. There's just enough sweetness, balancing the spice. The finish, there's the wood, and a sort of cocoa warmth, behind the warmth from the spirit, which lasts nicely. Much as two or three would be nice, you can happily leave it at (a generous) one, knowing that there will be another rainy day to enjoy it.
