John and Alexander Manson founded the Glen Garioch Distillery in 1797; it then remained in the family for over 90 years. Situated in the Aberdeenshire village of Oldmeldrum, the distillery takes its name from the Valley of the Garioch (pronounced 'Geery') - a tract of richly fertile land bound by rolling hills, famous for producing the finest golden barley in all of Scotland.True to over 200 years of whisky making, Glen Garioch is both natural and non chill-filtered, with small hand selected batch releases.
