Grain whisky plays an extremely important part in the assembly of Ballantine’s 17 Year Old. This whisky is extremely creamy and is both well balanced and sweet. Allied with this are light sweet toffee flavours. The grain whisky gives Ballantine’s 17 Year Old its soft creamy base which complements the malt whiskies and opens up the concentrated fruity flavours of the malts.
