A rye whiskey dreamed up by master distiller Dave Pickerell, WhistlePig 10 Year Old was initially aged in Canada, before occupying casks at Vermont’s eponymous WhistlePig farm. The resultant product, then, is a triumph of the US-Canada alliance. Released in summer 2010 to global fanfare, the 100-proof straight rye whiskey is noted for its no-punches-pulled flavour profile, which includes barrel char, butterscotch and clove. Mmm.
