Oranges, apricots, peaches, and more
Tonight’s dram takes me (virtually) back to my most-favorite distillery in England, The Lakes. The Whiskymaker’s Reserve #7 opens with apricots, clove, and cinnamon – spicy!, followed by caramel, milk chocolate, and sandalwood, then orange soda, ripe pear, peaches, graham crackers, and toasted oak. The thick-clingy legs and thick-creamy full-mouthfeel delivers a long stone-fruit syrupy finish.
Drink slow, drink long, drink a variety, drink often.
