With its oddly coloured packaging, you might not immediately recognise King of Trees as a whisky. But rest assured, this blend of Highland malts from the Glasgow-based Whisky Works ticks all the right boxes. Initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and refill American oak casks, then part-finished in casks made from wind-felled Scottish oak, it is a bold, fruity blend bottled with no added colour.
