Very nice!

Tonight’s dram takes me (virtually) back to one of my favorite Scottish distilleries, GlenAllachie. Their 10-year-old Spanish Virgin Oak (Quercus Robur) opens with honeycomb, orange zest, and cinnamon, followed by creamy vanilla, coconut, and lots of melted milk chocolate, then spicy ginger, white pepper, nutmeg, and another wave of vanilla. The thick-but-runny legs delivery a nice medium-long finish that has me looking forward to cooler evenings and a fire in the fireplace.

Drink slow, drink long, drink a variety, drink often.
