A one-litre bottle of Bunnahabhain’s memorable Cruach-Mhona, Gaelic for a pile of drying peat bricks. Says it all really, doesn’t it? Peat is the prime colour of this charming expression, though you’ll scent creosote and vanilla on the nose, not to mention salt and pepper and oak on the palate. Devastatingly good.
