First produced in 1998, Russian Standard Vodka is a premium vodka brand originally produced for the Russian market but now hugely popular the world over. As the Russian economy rapidly developed during the 1990’s, a demand for premium products saw many attempting to produce world class spirits. Roustam Tariko, wanting to produce Russian consumer brands which would ‘embody the vibrant spirit of Russia’, launched Russian Standard Vodka in 1998. It quickly became the leading premium vodka in the country. Two years later the brand expanded internationally to much success, with a Platinum version launched in 2001, and an Imperia branded version launched in 2004. The original Russian Standard vodka was now branded with ‘Original’.
Being 100% Russian and proudly marketed as so, it uses a Russian recipe, all Russian raw ingredients, and is distilled and bottled in Russia.
